Bee 52

Grade: D

Reviewer: Agent K

Company: Camerica

Rarity: Rare

Expertise: Not very good, level 3

This is a pretty terrible game. You're basically a bee that flies around trying to get honey out of flowers. You can't touch anything alive or you will die. Also ants are trying to get to your hive to steal your honey. Just a funny sidenote, the opening screen says "Absolute Brilliance." After about 5 seconds you'll disagree.

Positives:

The graphics are actually pretty good. The flowers look pretty realistic for a NES game.

Glaring Negatives:

There aren't a lot of negatives as there isn't much to the game. The one negative is that this game is No Fun!

Graphics and Sound: Pretty Good

The graphics are quite good for a nes game. The sound effects are kind of lame though.

Gameplay and Controls: Decent

As I don't really have any idea how precise a bee's movements are in real life, I don't have much to compare the game's movements to. What I can say is that it's kind of a pain. You can't touch much. You can only approach the flowers from one direction as the stem blocks you. Also, sprinkler systems will wash you away from where you're headed.

Features: None

There's no features for this game. Just collect honey. The manual actually says there are powerups and such in the game. I haven't gotten any yet. Maybe the game will be a little better when you find them.

Fun?: No way

For me, this is probably the worst game, enjoyment wise, that I've played on the NES. This may change after I play the game enough to really get good at it, but I doubt I will ever play the game that much because it's no fun. Interesting cycle eh.

Challenge: Hard

This is actually a pretty hard game. You can't continue and there are a lot of things that can kill your puny little bee.

Replay: Not much if any

Personally it has none. But you never know, every game has someone that likes it. Hopefully at least the programmer kind of dug it.

2 Player: None

No 2 player option and this game is worse to watch then it is to play. Actually maybe it's more fun to watch because it sure isn't fun to play.

Online Manual?: Yup

The manual actually makes the game sound interesting.

Bottom Line: No

This one is only for collectors.
